About the event

As part of the Pride Exhibit by Tui Hobson 'Va'ine Warrior' please join us for a very special event on Saturday afternoon...

Cook Island artist Sylvia Marsters will be joining Tui Hobson in conversation about their art practise and the exhibition.

The afternoon will begin with a korero giving everyone an opportunity to introduce themselves if they wish.

Sylvia will then ask Tui questions and discuss her 30yr career as a sculptor and carver. In the Cook Islands carving has typically been a male domain so this is an amazing opportunity for two Cook Island artists to discuss Tui's work as a woman carver.

Then Tui will open it up for the audience to ask questions about their conversation and the works in the exhibition.

This event is a FREE event for Auckland Pride.
